Angela Tressel is in her fourth year serving as the Assistant Commissioner of Conference Carolinas, an NCAA Division II league office consisting of 12 member institutions.  She is responsible for administrating all aspects of the conference compliance program, student-athlete advisory committee, and serves as the conference Senior Woman Administrator.  In addition, she serves as the primary league contact for all softball, volleyball, and athletic training issues.  In fall 2010, she was appointed to serve on the Division II volleyball regional advisory committee.

Tressel has administered and facilitated SAAC retreats for Conference Carolinas student-athletes as well as professional development seminars for league female coaches and administrators.  She is an active member of both the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) and the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC). She currently serves on both the Division II NAAC Committee as well as the Collegiate Commissioners Association of Compliance Administrators (CCACA). She has attended various seminars and professional development conferences including the NACWAA Convention, NCAA Regional Rules Seminars, NAAC Convention, NACWAA/NCAA Administrative Advancement workshop, and Women’s Leadership Symposium. Angela served as a facilitator for the 2011 NCAA Leadership Forum where student-athletes and athletic professionals engage in a diverse environment intended to enhance one's personal awareness and leadership skills.

Prior to her role at the conference office, Angela taught high school Honors Civics & Economics and was an assistant softball coach at North Davidson High School in Lexington, NC from 2005-2008. Additionally, she worked as an assistant softball coach at Greensboro College during the 2007-08 academic year. A native of the southwest Chicago suburbs, she earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Studies from High Point University in December 2009 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education/Social Sciences from Bradley University in May 2005 where she was a student-athlete in the sport of softball.  Angela’s husband Ryan serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations at High Point University. They have a son Brady who was born in February 2011.
