The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Crowns
Cross Country Champions
Wilson, NC.> On Saturday, October 28, the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference hosted it's Cross Country Championships at Barton College to crown it's champions. Lees McRae College took the women's title, winning the meet with a score of 33 points. Gabrielle LePeltier of Anderson College, won the individual title with a time of: 18:40. Craig McPhail of Lees-McRae College, won his third consecutive CVAC Coach of the Year award after his team had another great year.
On the men's side, Barton College took home the title with a score of 42 points, while Derick Williamson of Lees McRae College won the men's individual championship with a time of 27:12. Br. Paul Shanley of Belmont Abbey won the CVAC Coach of the Year. This is the fifth time he has taken home this award in his career.
