Brenna Clark Named DII Scholar Award Regional Winner
Walnut Creek, CA - - Sixteen regional winners of the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award have been announced today. A male and female Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be selected from the 16 regional winners, eight men and eight women.

Boswell Selected as Knights New Women's Lacrosse Coach
LAURINBURG, NCHoward Reichner, St. Andrews Presbyterian College Athletic Director, has announced Lyndsey Boswell as the new womens lacrosse coach for the Knights effective immediately. After a long and important search for a new womens lacrosse head coach, I am pleased to welcome Coach Lyndsey Boswell to the St. Andrews Presbyterian College athletics department, said Reichner. Boswell comes to St. Andrews after spending the past two seasons serving as an assistant womens lacrosse coach at Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) foe Pfeiffer University.

LC's Tucker Named NCAA DII Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year
Limestone College womens lacrosse head coach Scott Tucker was recognized as the NCAA Division II Womens Lacrosse Coach of the Year by Inside Lacrosse. Tucker led the Lady Saints to their second NCAA tournament semifinal appearance in 2006 as the squad ended its season with an impressive 16-4 record. He was also named the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conferences 2006 Coach of the Year.

The IWLCA and US Lacrosse have honored 32 student-athletes in Division II with a
selection on one of the All-American teams. The IWLCA and US Lacrosse will honor the
National All-Americans at an awards banquet on June 10, 2006 in Baltimore, MD.
The IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) was founded
on the principle of developing among intercollegiate coaches a deep sense of responsibility
in teaching, promotion, and maintaining the growth of women's lacrosse in accordance with
the highest ideals of fair play. It is a body committed to being an integral part of the growth
and direction of our collegiate sport.
US Lacrosse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is the national governing body for
men's and women's lacrosse.

The IWLCA has honored 64 student-athletes in Division II with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 30. The

Limestone WLAX Heads to DII National Tourney this Weekend
GAFFNEY, S.C.: The No. 6-ranked Limestone College womens lacrosse team travels to Lisle, Ill., to compete in the NCAA Division II Womens Lacrosse Championship hosted by Benedictine University this weekend. Limestone will compete in the semifinal game on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT against No. 3 West Chester. The championship match is slated for 12 p.m. CT on Sunday and will be broadcast live on CSTV.
Only four teams in the nation are selected to compete in the Division II womens lacrosse tournament. Two teams are chosen from both the North and South Region. Limestone and West Chester were selected from the South, and No. 2 C.W. Post and No. 1 Adelphi will play in the North region semifinal game at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Limestone Women's Lacrosse Recieves 1 of 4 National Bids to Play in NCAA Tournament
The No. 6 Limestone College womens lacrosse team received an NCAA Tournament bid and will compete for the 2006 Division II national title on May 13-14. The Lady Saints play West Chester in the tournament semifinals in Lisle, Ill., hosted by Benedictine University. Limestone, ranked sixth in the latest IWLCA poll on May 1, finished the season with a 16-3 overall record as the team won the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference regular season and tournament title. West Chester is rated at No. 3 with a 15-2 record.

GAFFNEY, S.C. The Limestone College Lady Saints lacrosse team claimed the 2006 Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference Championship title with a 10-8 win over Pfeiffer University.

CVAC Announces WLAX All-Conference Award Winners
The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, and All-CVAC First Team and All-CVAC Honorable Mention. Awards were presented at the CVAC Lacrosse championships banquet hosted by Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina.
