ANDERSON, S.C. – Kendrick Easley scored a game-high 24 points and became only the second player in Mount Olive College history to reach the career 2,000-point mark, but it wasn’t enough as the regionally fifth-ranked Trojans had their 11-game winning streak snapped and suffered their first conference loss of the season, falling to regional No. 6 Anderson 81-74 in Conference Carolinas men’s basketball Saturday at Anderson, S.C. MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Kendrick Easley, who broke a 16-year-old single-game school scoring record and moved into second place on the Mount Olive College all-time career scoring list, was runner-up for Division II Bulletin Men’s Basketball National Player of the Month for the month of January. Brittany Miller, who has a perfect 4.0 grade point average through five semesters at Mount Olive College, has been named to the 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 3 (College Division) Women’s Basketball first team, as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Committee has released this week’s Division II women’s basketball regional rankings. The top 10 teams in each region are listed for each of the eight regions. The regional rankings will be released every Wednesday through March 3. The Limestone College women’s lacrosse team is participating in the Lax 4 Life initiative, which benefits the Allyson Rose Green Memorial Foundation. The Saints will be collecting money at their home game against Dowling College on March 28 at 12 p.m.
