Angela Tressel Named Assistant Commissioner for Conference Carolinas!
THOMASVILLE, NC> Dr. Alan Patterson, Commissioner of Conference Carolinas, announced the appointment of Angela Tressel as the new Assistant Commissioner for the league. She replaces Melissa Barrett who served for the conference the past six years. While working in all facets for the league office, Tressel's primary responsibilities will be directing all areas of compliance, Senior Woman Administration, and the leagues internal office operations.
Tressel graduated from Bradley University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences and Secondary Education where she played softball and excelled as a student-athlete in both the classroom and on the field. She found her way south to North Carolina where she currently is studying to receive her Masters of Science in Sports Studies at local High Point University.
Angela's work experience is a strong asset. She has balanced a full-time job in the education field while helping as an assistant collegiate coach in addition to carrying a full-time graduate class load. Tressel hopes to bring a new excitement to the position to maintain the stability and growth the job has seen in recent years for the league. She hopes her commitment to organization and personable qualities blossom as she works with new colleagues throughout the league. "I would like to thank Dr. Patterson for the opportunity to work with such a successful and well respected conference" states Tressell. "I look forward to maintaining the positive reputation that Conference Carolinas has created."
"Angela's presence will help us continue to have and expand on one of the best Division II compliance programs in the nation," says Commissioner Patterson. "I'm confident Angela will be an asset to all associated with Conference Carolinas."
