High Point, NC> The Conference Carolinas Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) continue to make wishes come true. The 2010-11 campaign was a success and brought almost $900.00 more than last year’s campaign to total $12,959.47.
The leagues SAAC leaders implemented a new award system to reward the efforts completed on each participating campus to help increase funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The MVP Award is given to the institution that collected the most funds during the academic year. The Comeback Award is granted to the most improved institution when comparing funds collected from the previous academic year and the Top Play Award is presented to the institution bringing in the most money across all institutions for a single campus event.
2010-11 MVP Award Winner: Mount Olive College - collected a grand total of $3,300.00 during the academic year.
2010-11 Comeback Award Winner: Limestone College - collected $1487.67 more than what they did during the 2009-2010 academic year to total $2957.46 for this year.
