Mount Olive’s Cortijos Named Week 11 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

            

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Jose Cortijos was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 10-16, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Cortijos posted a combined 2-0 record and led the Trojans to a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title with their 6-3 win over Belmont Abbey.

Limestone’s Garnier Named Week 10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

           

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Federico Garnier was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 3-9, the Conference announced today.

Garnier, a freshman from Cordoba, Argentina, went a combined 2-0 for the Saints last week, picking up the two wins against Lees-McRae.

Belmont Abbey’s Barfoot Named Week 9 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

          

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's George Barfoot was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 27 - Apr. 2, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Farnham, England, Barfoot went a combined 6-0 on the week for the Crusaders, leading them to a 3-0 team record.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Stefano Soares was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

Soares, a senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, posted a combined 4-0 record at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles to help Limestone hand Mount Olive and Barton each its first Conference loss of the year.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's Zachary Blythe was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Fort Myers, Fla., Blythe went a 8-0 combined record last week and led the Crusaders to a 4-0 record as a team.

Barton’s Bosch Named Week 5 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

       

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College's Julian Bosch was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, Bosch led Barton to a 4-0 team record last week by going a combined 8-0 in singles and doubles competition. Six of his eight wins came in Conference Carolinas play.

Barton’s Bosch Named Week 4 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

      

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College's Julian Bosch was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

Bosch, a freshman from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, led Barton to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins by going a combined 3-1 last week.

Against North Greenville, Bosch dropped his No. 1 doubles match, but picked up the biggest win of his young career in his No. 1 singles flight. He would defeat the 2016 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and No. 32 nationally ranked player, Sjors van Eck, 7-6 (6-0), 3-6, 7-6 (6-4). Bosch would then go 2-0 against Southern Wesleyan, picking up a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles and an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.


Mount Olive’s Moser Named Week 3 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

     

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Martin Moser was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from Voecklabruck, Austria, Moser posted a combined 2-0 week for the Trojans. He would win his No. 3 singles match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 against Chowan, while taking his No. 2 doubles match 8-7 (7-6).


Pfeiffer’s Barwinski Named Week 2 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University's Bjorn Barwinski was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 6-12, the Conference announced today.

Barwinski, a junior from Dusseldorf, Germany, led Pfeiffer to a 1-1 week after going 4-0 on the week in singles and doubles play. In a narrow 5-4 defeat to Methodist, Barwinski notched a 6-4, 6-0 straight-set victory at No. 2 singles and a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles. In a 9-0 win over William Peace, Barwinski never dropped a set, winning his No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2 doubles match 8-0.


Mount Olive’s Deniz Named Week 1 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Ogulcan Deniz was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Jan. 30 - Feb. 5

A sophomore from Istanbul, Turkey, Deniz led the Trojans to a convincing 9-0 win over William Peace to open the season. He posted a 2-0 record, which included a 6-0, 6-0 straight-set win at No. 1 singles and an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
