King's Sprayberry Named Week 15 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University outside hitter Jeff Sprayberry has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Apr. 10-16, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Oak Forest, Ill., Sprayberry helped King clinch a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title with his performance in a 3-0 win over North Greenville. He would hit .476 and put away 13 kills to go with two digs, a service ace and a block.


King's Moushikhian Named Week 14 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University outside hitter Eddie Moushikhian has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Apr. 3-9, the Conference announced today.

Moushikhian, a senior from Alpharetta, Ga., propelled the Tornado back into a tie atop the Conference Carolinas standings with a 3-1 win over Limestone last week. He registered 15 kills and 12 digs for his third double-double of the season, while adding three blocks and two service aces.


Barton's Pagliara Named Week 13 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College setter Federico Pagliara has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 27 - Apr. 2., the Conference announced today.

A senior from Catania, Italy, Pagliara dished out 131 assists for a 10.92 per set average while adding 17 digs and eight blocks on the week to pace the Bulldogs to a 3-0 record.

Pagliara led the Bulldogs to a pair of easy wins early in the week, handing out 48 helpers and collecting eight digs in a 3-1 win over Saint Andrews and notching 33 assists in a 3-0 sweep of Lees-McRae. The highlight of the week for Pagliara would be leading the Bulldogs to a 3-2 win over then-top seed in Conference Carolinas King. In the win, Pagliara would post 50 assists, seven blocks and six digs.


Lees-McRae's Pfund Named Week 12 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College setter Reto Pfund has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

Pfund, a freshman from Mohlin, Switzerland, registered 106 assists, 15 digs, 12 kills, seven blocks and five service aces to help lead the Bobcats to a perfect 3-0 record last week.

In a 3-1 win over Belmont Abbey, Pfund narrow missed a double-double, finishing the match with 30 assists and eight digs, while adding five kills and two service aces. He would follow that performance with 30 more helpers, three blocks and three kills in a 3-0 sweep of Erskine. In the week's finale against Emmanuel, Pfund would hand out 46 assists to go with five digs, four blocks and three aces to propel the Bobcats to a 3-2 come-from-behind win.


Barton's Brkovic Named Week 11 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College outside hitter Aleksa Brkovic has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia, Brkovic hit an outstanding .559 with 23 kills for a 3.83 kills per set average to go with six service aces last week. His performances led the Bulldogs to a pair of sweeps in Conference Carolinas play.

Against Erskine, Brkovic posted 12 kills and hit .588 to go with three digs and two aces. The following day against Emmanuel, he would hit .529 with 11 kills and serve up four aces to go with two digs.


King's Drooker Named Week 10 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University setter Nick Drooker has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 6-12, the Conference announced today.

Drooker, a junior from Richmond, Va., led King to a 3-0 week after dishing out 124 assists for a 10.33 per set average, while adding 21 digs, six blocks and five service aces.

In a 3-2 win over Lindenwood, Drooker would just miss out on a double-double, as he posted 41 assists and eight digs with two service aces. His best performance would be a program record 64 assists in a 3-2 win over East Mennonite, which he also added six digs, five blocks and two aces to his stat line. Drooker would close the week out playing in two sets of a 3-0 win over Alderson Broaddus, passing out 19 assists and making seven digs.


North Greenville's McManaway Named Week 9 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University middle blocker Matthew McManaway has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Vernon, Ohio, McManaway hit a blistering .487 and put away 45 kills to lead the Crusaders to a 3-0 week. He would also add 12 total blocks, 10 digs and four service aces to his weekly totals.

Against Erskine, McManaway would post 17 kills and hit .536 to go with seven digs, two blocks and one ace in the 3-1 win. He would propel NGU to a 3-0 sweep of Emmanuel after hitting .636 with 16 kills and five blocks. In the week finale against Lincoln Memorial, McManaway put away 12 kills and added five blocks and two service aces.


Barton's Mandilaris Named Week 8 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College right side hitter Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

Mandilaris, a freshman from Chalkida, Greece., was the catalyst behind the Bulldogs going 2-0 last week, which included knocking off previously-undefeated Mount Olive. He averaged 3.86 kills per set while hitting .367 to go along with 19 digs, four services aces and four blocks.

In a 3-1 win over Mount Olive, Mandilaris hit a .414 clip to put away 16 kills and register eight digs. He would then notch a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs with three service aces and three blocks in Barton's 3-0 sweep of Coker.


Mount Olive's Yasalonis Named Week 7 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive setter Jeff Yasalonis has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Yardley, Pa., Yasalonis was the driving force behind Mount Olive picking up two league wins to stay undefeated in the Conference Carolinas standings. He notched one double-double and averaged 10.38 assists and 1.88 digs per set on the week.

In a first-place showdown between King, Yasalonis would lead the Trojans to a 3-2 come-from-behind win, as he record a season-high 56 helpers and Mount Olive hit .324 for the match. He would then turn around and post a double-double with 27 assists and 10 digs to lead the Trojans to a 3-0 sweep of Lees-McRae.


Mount Olive's Poole Named Week 6 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive right side hitter Robert Poole has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 6-12, the Conference announced today.

Poole, a junior from Enfield, England, averaged 5.57 kills per set and hit .391 to go with 12 digs to keep Mount Olive atop the Conference Carolinas standings after posting a 2-0 record last week.

Against North Greenville, Poole put away 20 kills and hit .424 with seven digs, three blocks and two service aces to lead Mount Olive to a 3-1 victory. In a sweep of Limestone, Poole hit .361 and notched 19 kills with five digs.


King's Moushikhian Named Week 5 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University outside hitter Eddie Moushikhian has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Jan. 30 - Feb. 5, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Alpharetta, Ga., Moushikhian averaged 4.17 kills per set and hit a staggering .478 to go with eight digs to lead King to a pair of Conference Carolinas sweeps.

In a 3-0 sweep of Pfeiffer, Moushikhian hit .625, which ranks ninth in school history, and put away 10 kills on 16 attacks with no errors. He would add five digs, two service aces and one block to his stat line. Moushikhian would follow that performance with a 15-kill outing against Belmont Abbey.


Limestone's Rocklein Named Week 4 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College outside hitter Kevin Rocklein has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 23-29, the Conference announced today.

Rocklein, a sophomore from Orlando, Fla., kept the Saints on top of the Conference Carolinas standings after leading them to a 2-0 week. He posted a 2.86 kills per set average with 20 kills and hit .372 for the week, adding eight digs and three blocks.

In a 3-1 win over Emmanuel, Rocklein hit .385 with 12 kills and added four digs and one service ace. He would follow that performance up with eight kills, four digs and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of reigning Conference Carolinas champion Erskine.


Limestone's Lavner Named Week 3 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College middle blocker Dylan Lavner has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 16-22, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Oswego, N.Y., Lavner led the Saints to a 3-1 win over the conference preseason No. 1 Barton Bulldogs last week. He put away 14 kills for a 3.50 kills per set and hit a .480 clip. Lavner added five blocks and three services aces to his stat line.


King's Wheaton Named Week 2 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University middle blocker Jon Wheaton has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 9-15, the Conference announced today.

Wheaton, a sophomore from Lockport, Ill., paced King to a pair of 3-0 wins over Lincoln Memorial and Charleston (W.V.) to open the season. The middle averaged 2.33 kills per set and hit .400 to go along with 1.50 blocks per set.

Against Lincoln Memorial, Wheaton tallied four kills and two blocks. In the win over Charleston, Wheaton would have a monster match hitting .643 with 10 kills and seven total blocks.


Mount Olive's Poole Named Week 1 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive opposite hitter Robert Poole has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 6-8, the Conference announced today.

Hailing from Enfield, England, Poole opened the season with a pair of impressive performances in the UCSB Asics Invitational. He averaged 4.43 kills per set and hit .250 as the Trojans dropped a pair of matches against top 15 teams.

Poole opened the year with 14 kills and a .226 hitting percentage against No. 9 Stanford. He then tallied a team-high 17 kills and a .270 hitting percentage to go along with a pair of service aces as the Trojans took a set in their four-set loss to No. 12 UCSB.
