North Greenville's McManaway Named Week 15 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.North Greenville University middle blocker Matthew McManaway has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 9-15, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Mt. Vernon, Ohio, McManaway posted 12 kills on a .550 hitting clip and added five blocks, two digs and one ace in NGU's 3-1 victory over Belmont Abbey last week.


King's Bell Named Week 14 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University opposite Kiel Bell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 2-8, the Conference announced today. This marks Bell's third POTW honor and King's fourth overall of the season.

Bell, a senior from Boca Raton, Fla., averaged a double-double and led King to a 3-0 record and a share of its second straight Conference Carolinas regular season title last week. He averaged 3.90 kills per set with 39 total kills on a .453 hitting percentage to go with 33 digs, eight blocks and two service aces.

In a 3-0 sweep of Limestone, Bell got his week started with a 10-kill, 14-dig double-double with two blocks and an ace. In a showdown with conference rival Barton, Bell put away 17 kills with eight digs, two blocks and one ace to earn the 3-1 win over the Bulldogs. He would then end the week with a double-double performance of 12 kills and 11 digs with four blocks to pace the Tornado to a 3-0 sweep of Mount Olive.


King's Sprayberry Named Week 13 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University outside hitter Jeff Sprayberry has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 26 - Apr. 1, the Conference announced today. This marks King's third overall POTW honor of the season.

A senior from Oak Forest, Ill., Sprayberry led King to a 3-0 sweep in its lone match against North Greenville last week. He would average 4.33 kills per set by putting away 13 kills with a .241 hitting percentage. Sprayberry would add two digs and one block to his match totals.


Belmont Abbey's Maxwell Named Week 12 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Belmont Abbey College outside hitter Liam Maxwell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 19-25, the Conference announced today. This is Maxwell's second straight POTW honor and third overall of the season.

Maxwell, a sophomore from Manahawkin, N.J., Maxwell averaged 5.17 kills per set after posting 62 kills on a .282 hitting percentage for the Crusaders. He would also add 26 digs, eight service aces and six blocks to pace Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 record last week.

In a 3-1 victory over Lees-McRae, Maxwell put down 25 kills to go along with five digs, two aces and two blocks. He would then notch the first of two double-doubles on the week, posting 15 kills and 10 digs with four aces and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Queens. In a 3-2 win over Lincoln Memorial, Maxwell went for 22 kills and 11 digs with two aces and one block to close out his week.


Belmont Abbey's Maxwell Named Week 11 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Belmont Abbey College outside hitter Liam Maxwell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 12-18, the Conference announced today. This is Maxwell's second POTW honor of the season.

A sophomore from Manahawkin, N.J., Maxwell averaged 5.18 kills per set after posting 57 kills on a .336 hitting percentage for the Crusaders last week. He would also add 18 digs and five blocks as Belmont Abbey went 1-2 last week.

In a tough 3-2 loss to Charleston (W.V.), Maxwell put away a career-high 28 kills to go along with eight digs and one block. He would then lead the Crusaders to a 3-0 sweep of Limestone witj 17 kills, four digs and three blocks. Maxwell's week would end with 12 kills, six digs and a block in a 3-0 setback to King.


Erskine's Sullivan Named Week 10 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Erskine College middle blocker Keegan Sullivan has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

Sullivan, a junior from Wellington, Fla., led the Flying Fleet to a 2-0 record last week after posting 20 kills with a .429 hitting average, six blocks and four service aces.

In a 3-0 win over Brewton-Parker, Sullivan would register three kills on five attacks while adding three aces and two blocks to his match totals. His best performance would come against Lincoln Memorial, as he put away 17 kills to go with four blocks and one ace. Sullivan's performance would lead Erskine to a 3-2 victory over LMU.


Barton's Mandilaris Named Week 9 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Barton College outside hitter Vasilis Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, the Conference announced today. This marks Barton's second straight POTW honor and fourth overall this season.

A junior from Chalkida, Greece, Mandilaris averaged 4.43 kills per set and hit .344 to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week. He also notched nine digs, nine blocks and three service aces on the week.

Mandilaris started his week with 11 kills, six blocks, two digs and an ace in a 3-0 straight-set victory over Queens (NC). He would close the week with a career game against Belmont Abbey, putting away a career-high 20 kills with seven digs, three blocks and two aces in the 3-1 victory.


Barton's Brkovic Named Week 8 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Barton College outside hitter Aleksa Brkovic has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 19-25, the Conference announced today. This marks Barton's third POTW honor this season.

Brkovic, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, kept the Bulldogs atop of Conference Carolinas after going 3-0 last week in league play. He averaged four kills per set and hit .360 on the week with 17 digs and six service aces.

In a five-set thriller against Mount Olive, Brkovic would notch a double-double with a career-high 30 kills and 10 digs to go with two aces to lead the Bulldogs to victory. In a 3-0 sweep of Lees-McRae, Brkovic would only register one kill on four attacks, but managed three service aces in the victory. In a battle of undefeated Conference Carolinas teams, Brkovic would lead Barton to a straight-set sweep of King. He tallied 13 kills and four digs in the win.


Mount Olive's Poole Named Week 7 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive opposite Robert Poole has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 12-18, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Enfield, England, Poole helped the Trojans go 3-0 last week with his strong play. He put away 40 kills on the week for a 4.44 kills per set average and .359 hitting percentage, while also tallying 28 digs, seven service aces and five blocks.

In a straight-set victory over Coker, Poole went for 11 kills, seven digs, three aces and two blocks. Three days later in a Conference tilt against Belmont Abbey, Poole notched 15 kills with eight digs to lead UMO to a 3-0 victory. In the week's finale, Poole earned a double-double of 14 kills and 13 digs with four services aces and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Queens (NC).


Belmont Abbey's Maxwell Named Week 6 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Belmont Abbey College outside hitter Liam Maxwell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

Maxwell, a sophomore from Manahawkin, N.J., led the Crusaders to a 2-1 record last week after averaging 4.57 kills per set on 64 total kills. He also tallied 20 digs, eight service aces and five blocks on the week.

Against Limestone, Maxwell just missed out on a double-double, notching 23 kills and eight digs with two service aces in the 3-2 win. In a 3-1 victory over Erskine, Maxwell put down a career-high 26 kills with six digs and three blocks. In the team's 3-2 loss to Emmanuel, he would register 15 kills, six digs and five service aces.


Barton's Mandilaris Named Week 5 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Barton College opposite Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 29 - Feb. 4, the Conference announced today. This marks his second straight POTW award.

A sophomore from Chalkida, Greece, Mandilaris averaged 4.50 kills per set and hit .400 and led Barton to a 2-0 record last week against Conference Carolinas teams.

In a 3-0 win over North Greenville, Mandilaris hit .438 and put away 10 kills with four blocks. His best performance came in the Bulldogs' 3-0 win over Limestone, as Mandilaris registered 17 kills, seven digs, five service aces and three blocks.


Barton's Mandilaris Named Week 4 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Barton College opposite Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 22-28, the Conference announced today.

Mandilaris, a sophomore from Chalkida, Greece, averaged 3.71 kills per set and hit .404 en route to leading the Bulldogs to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins.

In a 3-1 win over Erskine, Mandilaris would put down 12 kills on .348 hitting to go with three digs, two service aces and one block. He would then put away 14 kills on .458 hitting in a 3-0 sweep of Emmanuel.


King's Bell Named Week 3 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University opposite Kiel Bell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 15-21, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Boca Raton, Fla., Bell led the Tornado to a 3-0 sweep of Alderson Broaddus in its lone match of last week. He posted a match-high 11 kills and hit .304, while also adding seven digs, three blocks and two service aces.


Lees-McRae's Bowling Named Week 2 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Lees-McRae College outside hitter Robert Bowling has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 8-14, the Conference announced today.

Bowling, a freshman from Hilliard, Ohio, was an integral part in the Bobcats' 3-1 win over Coker last week. He posted 17 kills on a .481 hitting percentage to go with two blocks and two digs.


King's Bell Named Week 1 Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University opposite Kiel Bell  has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 4-7, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Boca Raton, Fla., Bell registered 35 kills for a 3.18 kills per set average on a .253 hitting percentage to lead King to a 1-2 opening weekend. He also added 23 digs for a 2.09 digs per set average, six blocks and two aces over the weekend.

In a 3-0 loss to No. 4 UCLA, Bell would be held to three kills, but added five digs, two blocks and a service ace. He bounced back with a 15 kills, five digs, two blocks and an ace in a 3-1 win against McKendree. In a 3-1 loss to UC San Diego, Bell collected a double-double of 17 kills and 13 digs with two blocks.
