Limestone’s Hellman Named Women’s Bimonthly Golfer of the Month - Oct. Two

     

HIGH POINT, N.C.Limestone College's Ebba Hellman has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Bimonthly Golfer of the Month for tournaments played the first half of October, the Conference announced today. This marks her first POTW of the Fall and Limestone's third straight.

Hellman, a sophomore from Ronninge, Sweden, posted a pair of individual top-10 finishes and lead the Saints to a team title at the Flagler Fall Slam and seventh-place at the Terrier Intercollegiate. At the Flagler Fall Slam, Hellman shot a two-round total of 150 (77-73) en route to a ninth-place finish. She would close out the Fall season with a sixth-place finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate after shooting a two-round total of 151 (78-73).


Limestone’s Cortes Named Women’s Bimonthly Golfer of the Month - Oct. One

     

HIGH POINT, N.C.Limestone College's Reme Cortes has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Bimonthly Golfer of the Month for tournaments played the first half of October, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Madrid, Spain, Cortes led the No. 19 Saints to a pair of top-10 finishes, including a team win at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. Cortes would tie for third-place overall in that tournament with a two-round score of 142 (71-71). At the Lady Flames Super Regional Preview, Cortes would lead Limestone to a sixth-place team finish after shooting a three-round score of 227 (75-74-78), which earned her an individual tie for ninth-place.


Limestone’s Martinez Named Women’s Bimonthly Golfer of the Month - Sept. One

     

HIGH POINT, N.C.Limestone College's Pilar Martinez has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Bimonthly Golfer of the Month for tournaments played the first half of September, the Conference announced today.

Martinez, a junior from Malaga, Spain, led the Saints to a sixth-place team finish at the UIndy Fall Invitational, a field that featured the defending DII champion and eight nationally ranked teams. Martinez would notch a fifth-place overall finish by shooting a three-round score of 218 (71-72-75).


Fall Season


Julie Loennechen tied for ninth out of 86 golfers to help University of Mount Olive finish second out of 16 teams in the weather-shortened Converse Spring Invite. Loennechen shot a 79 to finish just four shots out of first place. At the Armstrong State Pirate Classic, the tournament field included eight nationally ranked teams.
