10 Conference Carolinas Baseball Players Named ABCA/Rawlings All-Region

GREENSBORO, N.C. - 10 Conference Carolinas baseball players were named to the 2017 Southeast All-Region teams by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the association announced recently.

In addition to being a first team selection, University of Mount Olive's Austin Hutchison was also tabbed the region Pitcher of the Year. Zach Mozingo of Mount Olive was also named first team, while Barton College duo Andrew Webster and Calvin Hawke also earned first team honors. Rounding out Conference Carolinas first team nods was Nick Beinlich of Belmont Abbey College.

On the second team, Limestone College's Chase Allen and Garrett Lowery would be joined by North Greenville University's Tucker Burgess. Rounding out the second team was Mount Olive's Ricky Surum and Bruce Zimmerman.

First team selections are now eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. ABCA/Rawlings All-Americas will be announced on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
