Mount Olive's Rendon-Alcala and Greyno Named Conference Carolinas Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive's Guillermo Rendon-Alcala and Nick Greyno have been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Apr. 3-9, the Conference announced today.

Rendon-Alcala, a sophomore from Mijas Costa, Spain, had a strong outing for the Trojans at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational hosted by Liberty University. He would break the UMO record in both the 100 and 200 meter dash, while also earning NCAA Division II Provisional marks in each event. Rendon-Alcala would win the 200 with a time of 21.23, while finishing second in the 100 with a time of 10.49.

A senior from Wilmington, N.C., Greyno finished with a pair of record-breaking performances for Mount Olive at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational hosted by Liberty University. He would break the UMO record in the hammer throw and finish in first-place with a distance of 50.39 meters, while notching second in the discus with a record throw of 46.85 meters.
