Erskine's Shannon Represents ConfCarolinas on NFCA All-Region Second Team
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The NFCA has announced the 2012 Division II All-Region teams. This year’s teams are comprised of 204 student-athletes from 89 institutions spread out over the eight NFCA regions, with a first and second team for each region.

Mount Olive outfielder Kayla Voorhees, who missed all of 2011 and much of the fall with injuries, has been named to the 2012 Daktronics Division II Softball All-Southeast Region First Team, as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Voorhees is now eligible for All-America consideration.

NCAA SB Regionals: King Tournament Run Comes to an End, Lady Tornado Fall to Jaguars
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King College Softball’s tournament run came to an end after a 5-1 loss to Augusta State in Saturday afternoon’s elimination game. The Jaguars jumped out to an early lead and rode it to victory as King stranded six runners on the base paths in the loss.

NCAA Reveals SB Championship Selections; King to Play at Host North Ga.
NDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2012 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. Four teams will participate at each of 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – King College earned their first ever Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament Championship with a 4-1 win over North Greenville University on Sunday. All-Tournament teams were announced at the tournaments conclusion.

Erskine Takes Top Spot in Coaches Softball Preseason Poll
High Point, N.C.> Erskine College takes this year’s top position on the softball preseason poll as voted on by league head coaches. Erskine was 24-17-1 and 13-5 in conference play last season and returns their nucleus that includes the Conference Pitcher of the Year and four other all-conference players that won the school’s first ever softball conference championship last season and advanced to their first NCAA Regional Tournament.

With the recent official new member additions of King College and North Greenville University (June 1st 2011), individual schedules had to change in order to incorporate the scope of conference schedules with the growth from 11 to 13 teams that will now be competing in the league.

Teams Selected for NCAA DII Softball Tournament; Erskine Represents League
INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2011 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. MOUNT OLIVE SENIOR ANA COOKE MAKES COLLEGIATE PITCHING DEBUT AFTER BATTLING GUILLIAN-BARRE SYNDROME AND TOMMY JOHN SURGERY
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Mount Olive College softball senior pitcher Ana Cooke, who had been told by doctors she would never play again, made her collegiate debut Tuesday during the Trojans’ Conference Carolinas doubleheader against Erskine at Nancy Chapman Cassell Field. Cooke, who was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre syndrome a little over a year ago and underwent Tommy John surgery before transferring to Mount Olive, started game two and held Erskine hitless in three shutout innings.

Queens Wins Second Consecutive Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship; All-Tournament Teams Announced!
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The 2010 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship was decided by an extra inning affair between Limestone College and Queens University of Charlotte. Queens University of Charlotte came into the Championship game 3-0 on the tournament, including a nine inning 5-2 win over Limestone earlier in the tournament.

Coker Takes Top Spot in Coaches Softball Preseason Poll
High Point, N.C.> Conference Carolinas head softball coaches voted Coker College as their preseason poll favorite for the 2009 season. The Coker College softball team won their second straight regular season Conference Carolinas Championship in 2008, going 17-1 in conference competition with a 35-12 overall record. Returning to lead the Lady Cobras in her senior season is 2008 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Shelly Catlett. Last season, Shelly posted a record of 27-7, with a 1.80 ERA in 233 innings of work. Catlett dominated hitters throughout the season, racking up 229 strikeouts, placing her at the top of the conference and the nation.

Coker to Host 2009 Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament
Hartsville, S.C. – After a year hiatus, the Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament will once again return to Hartsville and Coker College in 2009. The Conference Carolinas Athletic Directors accepted Coker College’s bid for the 2009 conference softball tournament to be held at Byerly Park, April 16-19, 2009.

LIMESTONE SOFTBALL NAMED NFCA DIVISION II ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
The Limestone College softball team posted a 3.297 GPA during the 2007-08 academic year and has been named an All-Academic Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The Lady Saints’ team GPA ranks them at No. 20 among NCAA Division II softball programs.

Conference Carolinas Announces CVAC All-Time Softball Team
Thomasville, NC, June 4, 2007 – Conference Carolinas announced the CVAC All-Time softball team as voted on by league sports information directors. To help commemorate the final year as the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference, the league is naming All-Time Teams in all of the conference sports. The league recently changed its name to Conference Carolinas on June 1, 2007.

Mount Olive College softball players and coaches, as well as members of other participating teams, donned maroon and orange hair ribbons at the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Softball Tournament to honor the Virginia Tech family in the wake of the shootings that took place April 16. Maroon and orange are Virginia Tech's school colors.
