GOLF PLAYERS OF THE
MONTH
Pfeiffer's Brittany Beltran Named Women's
Golfer of the Month;
Collects Award for Third Time this Year

Thomasville, NC > Pfeiffer's Brittany Beltran has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's golf Player of the Month for the month of April in the 2007-08 season. This is the third time Brittany has won the award, as she was honored in September and February. The junior from Concord, NC started the month by winning the St. Andrews Presbyterian College Invitational among 57 golfers with a 73-76=149 total. The victory pushed the Lady Falcons to the team title as well for the tournament. Beltran followed that up finishing 28th out of 61 golfers in the Nova Southeastern Spring Classic down in Florida as Pfeiffer finished 7th out of 11 teams. For the month Beltran averaged rounds of 77.25 and recorded the one win and one top ten finish.

Coker's Trey Bridwell
Named Men's Golf Player of the Month
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, April 17, 2008
Thomasville, N.C.> Coker College's Trey Bridwell has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's golf Player of the Month for the month of April in the 2007-08 season. Coker freshman Trey Bridwell captured his first individual medalist honors of his college career as he sank an eight-foot birdie putt in the second hold of a sudden death playoff at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate. Bridwell's three under par, 69, was a field leading best out of 98 golfers and he led the Cobra team to their second tournament championship of the season.
