The IWLCA has honored 64 student-athletes in Division II with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2012. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on May 24.

Liz Ramsey Resigns As Women's Lacrosse Coach At Belmont Abbey College To Pursue Outside Interests
Belmont Abbey women’s lacrosse coach Liz Ramsey has resigned from her position, effective June 30, to follow other interests in her native state of Pennsylvania. Ramsey piloted the Abbey’s efforts for two years, compiling a record of 15-17 overall and a 9-4 ledger in Conference Carolinas play. Ramsey was the Abbey’s second coach in the six year history of the program.

With the recent official new member additions of King College and North Greenville University (June 1st 2011), individual schedules had to change in order to incorporate the scope of conference schedules with the growth from 11 to 13 teams that will now be competing in the league.

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Sarah Hebberd (Golden, CO) has been selected as the national Vice Chair of the NCAA II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. A member of the Lady Falcons lacrosse team, Hebberd was tabbed second in command at a recent meeting of the nationwide SAAC committee. LIMESTONE WOMEN'S LACROSSE NAMED NCAA DIV. II SCORING DEFENSE STATISTICAL CHAMPIONS
Gaffney, S.C. – The Limestone College women’s lacrosse has earned a statistical championship in scoring defense in the final 2010 NCAA Division II statistics released earlier today. The Lady Saints finished tops in the nation yielding only 6.15 goals per game surrendering 123 goals in 20 contests. This marks the second time and the first since 2001 that Limestone has achieved this honor.

The No. 2-ranked Limestone College women’s lacrosse team will face No. 4 West Chester in the semifinals of the upcoming NCAA Division II tournament as announced on Sunday night. The Lady Saints (17-1 overall) are headed to Houston, Texas, for their third appearance in the tournament semifinals on May 15.

Dennehy Named Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach at Queens
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 29, 2008) – Queens University of Charlotte Director of Athletics Jeannie King has announced the hiring of Meghan Dennehy as Queens’ new women’s lacrosse head coach. Dennehy had been serving as the interim head coach since January and was hired in August as the women’s lacrosse assistant coach.

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College Lady Saints lacrosse team won the 2008 Conference Carolinas tournament with a 9-4 victory against Belmont Abbey on Sunday afternoon at Saints Field. No. 2-ranked Limestone climbs to 15-1 with the win as the Crusaders slip to 11-7.

Conference Carolinas Announce Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Award Winners at Conference Tourney
Thomasville, N.C. > The Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations were collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-Conference First Team, All-Conference Second Team and Honorable Mention Team. Awards were presented at the league women’s lacrosse team banquet at the Conference Tournament Championships hosted by Limestone College in Gaffney, SC. This year’s award winners are as follows:

CHARLOTTE, NC – Desiree Cox set an NCAA record for goals and points in a game Sunday afternoon, leading the Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats to a 24-18 non-conference win the over Methodist University Monarchs. Cox buried an NCAA record 13 goals in the win, and also chipped in with 3 assists for a record 16 point game.

Limestone's Howard Named 'Inside Lacrosse' DII Player of the Week
Melissa Howard, a juinor attacker out of Ferndale, Md., was named NCAA Division II women's lacrosse Player of the Week by Inside Lacrosse on Tuesday. She helped lead Limestone to a lopsided win over Queens on Saturday. Howard, the Saints' single-season assists record holder, had two goals and an assist in Limestone's 16-4 win against the Royals. Howard also added five ground balls, bringing her totals to nine goals, six assists and seven ground balls on the season. The Saints, 3-1, have won three straight since opening with a loss to move up to No. 3 in the latest national rankings.

Julian Domenech, head women’s lacrosse coach at Pfeiffer University, recently received the inaugural Service Award given by Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), an organization that represents NCAA Division II coaches. Domenech received the award during the annual IWLCA Convention in Clearwater Beach, Fla.

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) has recognized 96 teams for achieving success in the classroom with the designation of Honor Squad. This recognition is given to teams that held a team GPA of 3.00 or greater for the 2006-2007 academic year. Pfeiffer was honored with an overall team GPA of 3.16.
