HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College goalie Lauryn Harding has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 15-21, the Conference announced today.
Harding, a freshman from Fayetteville, N.C., was a force between the pipes for Belmont Abbey in a pair of Conference Carolinas wins last week. She posted 11 saves in 180 minutes of action and notched a pair of shutouts in the process.
In a 1-0 win over Emmanuel, Harding collected seven saves in 90 minutes of play. She would then post four saves in 90 minutes of action in a 5-0 shutout of Mount Olive.
Harding currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas in goals against (1), goals against average (.17) and save percentage (.966), while ranking seventh in wins (5).
