Fall Championships Kickoff with Cross-Country Friday; Link to Conference Carolinas ‘Fall Championships Central’ for Complete Details
High Point, N.C.> Conference Carolinas fall sport championships kickoff this Friday with the start of the women's & men's cross country championships. Teams regular seasons come to an end with the championship culmination as conference tournament titles will be back on the line. The fall conference championships start with cross country this weekend followed by men’s and women’s soccer tournaments starting October, 31st and the women’s volleyball tournament starting November 8th. Women’s & men’s cross country will be the first sports to get the tournament action started as they have their championship meet this Friday, October 21st. Queens University of Charlotte is hosting the championships for the third consecutive year at the McAlpine Park course in Charlotte, NC. All league teams will be competing for the league title as the women’s 5K is set to begin at 4:00 PM with the men following their 8K run with a 5:00 PM start.
Women’s soccer quarterfinal games start Monday 10/31/11 with the top eight teams battling for the right to claim the championship trophy. The men’s soccer quarterfinals start the following day 11/1/11 culminating with their championship final on Sunday 11/6/11. Both the women and men play all games at the higher seeded teams throughout, with pairings being finalized after league regular season games are completed.
Women’s volleyball teams start their championship quests with first round games beginning Tuesday, November 8 continuing play through the championship on Sunday, November 13. The tournament is set for teams to play at the higher seeded teams home court throughout the tournament, with pairings being finalized after league regular season games are completed.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletic conference currently made up of 12 teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Coker College, Converse College, Erskine College, King College, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, Mount Olive College, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Queens University of Charlotte.
