Five Conference Carolinas Student-Athletes Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Track/Cross Country Teams

GREENWOOD, IND. - Conference Carolinas was represented by five student-athletes on the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Track/Cross Country Teams, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday (May 28).

University of Mount Olive paced the way with five Trojans making the list, which consisted on three women and two men student-athletes. On the women's side UMO was represented by Leah Hanle, Candise Lockett and Taylor Moncrief, while Tai Smith and Zach Teeple represented the men.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
