HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University and Limestone College both claimed a share of the 2017 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball regular season title on Friday (Feb. 24) night.
By way of tiebreakers, The Falcons earned the No. 1 seed in next week's Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship after finishing the season 17-3. The Saints, who also finished 17-3, will be the No. 2 seed. Barton College and King University each finished the season with identical 14-6 records. The Bulldogs earned the No. 3 seed through tiebreakers, while the Tornado came away with the No. 4 seed.
Hitting the road for the quarterfinals will be No. 5 seed Belmont Abbey College (10-10), No. 6 seed University of Mount Olive (8-12), No. 7 seed Lees-McRae College (7-13) and No. 8 seed Erskine College (5-15).
The 2017 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship quarterfinals will be held on the campus of the higher seed on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The semifinals and finals will be played on the campus of the highest seed remaining after the quarterfinals on Mar. 4 and 5, respectively. The Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.
