GREENVILLE, S.C. - Igor Bretas Dantas has been chosen as the first Conference Carolinas Men’s Swimmer of the Week of the 2019-20 season.
The league office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019.
The sophomore from Indaiatuba, Brazil started off his season strongly by posting the No. 2 time in the nation in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.21. His 100 fly time of 48.99 is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation on the NCAA Division II top times list on CollegeSwimming.com.
He also led off Emmanuel’s win in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 20.30.
All three of his swims at the Emmanuel Invite that included Milligan, Point and Lagrange were NCAA Division II national qualifying times.
