Southern Wesleyan's Maria Named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University's Sarvesh Maria was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 25 - Mar. 3, the Conference announced today. This marks the first POTW for Maria and second overall for Southern Wesleyan.

Maria, a freshman from Punjab, India, went a combined 4-1 last week.

Emmanuel College (6-1, L):
No. 2 Singles - 1-6, 6-4, 4-6
No. 1 Doubles - 6-3

The Citadel (4-2, L):
No. 3 Singles - 6-1, 6-1

Mars Hill University (5-2, W):
No. 3 Singles - 7-5, 6-3
No. 2 Doubles - 6-1

Zachary Blythe (Belmont Abbey) - Went a combined 1-1 (1-0 singles, 0-1 doubles).
Rafael D'Atri (Chowan) - Went a combined 1-0 (1-0 singles, 0-0 doubles).
Lucas Sasaki (Emmanuel) - Went a combined 2-0 (1-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
Diego Agudelo (Barton) - Went a combined 2-0 (1-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
