HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College officially earned its bid to the 2019 National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday (Apr. 21) afternoon.
The Bulldogs received a bid into the seven-team bracket as an automatic qualifier after winning the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Championship on Thursday (Apr. 18) night. Barton won the championship match in dramatic fashion by beating league rival King, 3-2.
Barton (25-4) will play Princeton in an opening round play-in match on Thursday, Apr. 25. The match will be played on the campus of Barton College in Wilson, N.C.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
