Mount Olive's Tai Smith has been named Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran during the week of Oct. 8 - 14

 

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Tai Smith has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for races ran the week of Oct. 8 - 14, the Conference announced today. This marks Smith's second POTW of the year and the third for Mount Olive.

Smith, a junior from Glendale, Ariz., led the Trojan finishers in the men's 8k at the Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. with a seventh-place finish and a time of 24:03. His time marks a new personal record, shaving 35 seconds off his previous best of 24:38.
