HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive goalie Siena Miller has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 4-10, the Conference announced today.
A junior from Vail, Colo., Miller collected 12 saves and only let up six goals in the Trojans win over two-time defending NAIA national champion Savannah College of Art & Design. The win snapped SCAD's 28-game winning streak.
Also nominated for Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Amy Pfefferkorn (Southern Wesleyan) - Posted five points on four goals and one assist in two games.
Courtney Lafler (Limestone) - Posted five points on five goals with one draw control in one game.
Kalbie Grassett (Lees-McRae) - Posted two points on two goals with four draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover in one game.
Kayli Ashenfelter (Barton) - Posted four points on four goals with five draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in one game.
Kylie Eastman (Belmont Abbey) - Posted eight points on eight goals with six ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers in one game.
