Julia Simioni of Emmanuel Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Julia Simioni of Emmanuel has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week.

The league office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019.

A junior from Concordia, Brazil, Simioni led Emmanuel with three first-place finishes in a team victory over Berry.

Simioni finished first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.37, while she claimed top honors in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.76. Simioni finished first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:13.13.

Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its early initial inception on Dec. 6, 1930. The NCAA Division II athletics conference presently has member schools located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
