NEW ORLEANS – The Conference Carolinas preseason favorites in both men’s and women’s cross country, Mount Olive has been selected among the top-10 in the Southeast in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason regional rankings.
The Mount Olive men are second in the preseason rankings, while the women are fourth in the preseason rankings that were unveiled on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019.
Mount Olive men’s cross country was unanimously chosen as the favorite in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men’s Cross Country Preseason Poll.
The Trojans enter the 2019 season looking to claim their eighth consecutive men’s cross country championship. Mount Olive (100) received all 10 first-place votes in the 2019 preseason poll.
Mount Olive women’s cross country was voted to defend its title in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Women’s Cross Country Preseason Poll.
Mount Olive will be looking for its fifth straight Conference Carolinas championship in the 2019 season. The Trojans received nine first-place votes and a total of 118 points to claim the top spot in the preseason tally.
